Alejandro Rose-Garcia, better known by his stage name Shakey Graves, is no stranger to Northwest Arkansas. He began playing Fayetteville early in his career. Initially, he performed in the front room of Georges Majestic Lounge. Now, he is selling out the back room.

He kicked off the 19-show run of his fall solo tour with a sold out show in Fayetteville, AR on November 6th, 2025. Once again, Georges Majestic Lounge was the venue to come back to. This time, he brought along Clover County as support.

Clover County describes her music as “boot gaze”, but is elaborated as a healthy mix of Americana, Folk and Indie rock. Each song has its own distinct flavor for your senses to partake. She has solid story telling with melodic hooks that stick in your head for days. Even though it was a stripped down acoustic performance of her songs, she gained a lot of fans that night through her quick-witted stage banner and emotional performance.

After a well-received opening set, the room was primed for the night’s main attraction.

The stage was adorned with stacks of televisions on each side. Each screen was playing videos taken of Fayetteville before the show. Sandwiched between the televisions was his amps, and signature suitcase drum.

Shakey is a story teller with his guitar. You know who else was a story teller? Mr. Rogers. Yes, that Mr. Rogers who warmed the hearts of children and taught them valuable lessons. The red sweater wearing Mr. Rogers.

It was no coincidence that Shakey came out in a cardigan sweater, changed his shoes just like Mr. Rogers, and then started his set. A heartfelt tribute to a childhood hero.

From there it was a whirlwind of classic Shakey Graves. Raw and emotional vocals, fits of energy, songs stretching out in time to build anticipation and crowd participation. A blistering 18 song set that had every fan favorite you can think of. Opening the show up with Roll the Bones, then going into crowd pleasing songs Ready or Not, Dearly Departed, and one of my absolute favorites, Late July.

I wish there had been more from the Nobody’s Fool and Donor Blues EP. However, he has such a vast catalog and I know it’s hard to please everyone.

From playing the front room at Georges to selling out the back room, Shakey Graves’ return to Fayetteville felt less like a tour stop and more like a homecoming. With nothing more than his voice, a guitar, and a suitcase drum, he held a sold-out room in the palm of his hand. It wasn’t just a concert—it was a shared experience, one that left the crowd buzzing long after the final note faded.

Much like Mr. Rogers himself, Shakey Graves has a way of making a crowded room feel personal. Through stories, songs, and moments of quiet reflection, he reminded the audience that connection still matters. Judging by the hugs, smiles, and tears throughout the venue, everyone in the room felt it.

Be sure to check out both Shakey Graves and Clover County on their respective socials.
